Jaguar XE Landmark edition launched for 2018

Fresh addition to XE line-up boasts a unique bodykit and styling tweaks, and is based on the R-Sport model

A new special edition Jaguar XE has landed in the form of the XE Landmark Edition, which is available to order at UK dealers now.

The new addition to the XE line-up slots in towards the top end of the range, and is based on the existing R-Sport model. A sporty front bumper, rear lip spoiler and side skirts inject some aggression into the exterior, while the XE Landmark Edition rides on unique multi-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels too.

Elsewhere, the door mirror caps, grille housing and side vents are all finished in gloss black, with special Landmark badging on the side vents. Just three exterior paint colours are available, with metallic white, red or black hues a no cost option.

Inside, most of the interior is lifted form the R-Sport model, with sports seats upholstered in perforated leather. Jaguar Land Rover’s 10-inch Touch Pro infotainment system is equipped as standard, complete with satellite navigation and Bluetooth connectivity.

Xenon headlights are standard fit, as is sports suspension, interior ambient lighting, and safety features such as automatic emergency braking and lane keep assist. The level of standard equipment and technology on the Landmark is no greater than on the R-Sport however, so all changes are limited to the unique exterior design tweaks and similar trim and finish changes inside, such as the satin chrome finish applied to the edges of the infotainment setup.

The XE Landmark arrives available with a selection of diesel and petrol engines, though the XE’s full selection isn’t available. The entry level 161bhp 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel and top end 296bhp 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol options are absent, so the XE Landmark starts from £36,995 for the car fitted with a 178bhp 2.0-litre diesel mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
